ACCOUNTING MANAGER

You will serve as the ACCOUNTING MANAGER in the Accounting Division, Comptroller Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. **This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12986255-26-HM. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.**

You will prepare directives to assure compliance with financial management and accounting policies promulgated by higher authority. You will develop new or specialized procedures to solve problems where no clear precedents exist. You will provide interpretations of accounting reports, statements, and data which point out trends, identifies deviations from standards and/or plans, and projects data into the future. You will provide technical guidance and assistance to operating personnel throughout the Command, other ship maintenance activities, customers, and higher-level authority in interpreting and utilizing financial accounting data. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with and gain the cooperation of supervisors, management officials, Department Heads and other high level officials and/or representatives of other Federal activities. You will plan work to be accomplished; assign priorities; evaluate performance; interview candidates for key positions and make hiring decisions and selections.
