As the Administrator for Southwestern Power Administration, you will: Be responsible for the overall management and administration of all Southwestern programs. Direct Southwestern programs featuring highly sophisticated engineering concepts and unique problems related to the development, design, construction, operations and maintenance of the Southwestern transmission system, the marketing of energy, the forecasting of system capability and requirements, and administrative support of these specialized functions. Provide leadership, incentive and the instrumentality through which National goals for electric power set by the President of the United States and the Secretary of Energy are made known and achieved in the south central United States. Set broad policy objectives for the disposition of electric power including goals and strategies for establishment and revision of wholesale rates, repayment criteria, and billing and contracting provisions. Coordinate long-range marketing plans and project development activities of Southwestern with other power marketing divisions, agencies, and organizations of the Department of Energy.
