CBP OFFICER (BORDER SECURITY)

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Houston Field Office in Houston, Texas.

Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise to address anti-terrorism and border security enforcement activities. Apply for this exciting opportunity to direct programs that strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security. This position starts at a salary of $126,149.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to$163,996.00 (GS-13, Step 10) Planning, leading, designing, and coordinating enforcement efforts with other enforcement program offices. Developing and deploying innovative strategies to prevent the illegal entry of terrorists and their associates into the United States. Promoting and policing management accountability and operational integrity, for border security initiatives by ensuring policy compliance for respective areas. Overseeing measures related to preventing the illegal entry of terrorists and their associates, anti-smuggling, anti-fraud, criminality, contraband, and other enforcement efforts, while managing, coordinating, and ensuring the identification of, targets, controls and examination of passengers and cargo leaving the United States. Conducting quarterly checks of operational practices affiliated with the responsibilities aligned under border security ensuring compliance measures in preparation for Self-Inspections, Management Insurance Division (MID), and Management Assurance Reviews (MAR).
