Job description
Will serve as the Contracting Officer for the OUSW A&S, Business Operators for National Defense (BOND) Program reporting to the Program Director/Executive Director with responsibility for procurement, contracting and interagency agreement strategies during the critical stand-up phase of the BOND program. Will apply comprehensive knowledge of pertinent federal acquisition regulations, policy directives, business precedents, and fiscal law guidelines affecting contract administration.
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: This is a 1-year detail with an option to extend up to three years. Serves as the primary point of contact and primary liaison between the BOND program office and host contracting activities (e.g., Washington Headquarters Services or other servicing contracting offices) to track procurement packages through to award and resolve administrative blockages. Assists program leadership in designing foundational business workflows, optimizing fiscal resource allocation, and maintaining collaborative partnerships across military and civilian agencies. Formulates, drafts, and executes innovative acquisition strategies and business arrangements to support the rapid stand-up and scaling of the BOND office. Collaborates with resource and program managers to ensure the office operates within budgetary milestones and conforms to Department of War (DoW) standards and guidelines.
