Job description

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Manhattan Sites Headquarters, New York, New York. As Interdisciplinary Cultural Resource Program Manager, you will perform the following duties: Directs an intricates program of cultural resources management activities that involve sensitive and complex issues. Develops guidelines to deal with more complex issues or unusual problems. Conducts, coordinates, and manages the review of park plans and projects. Develops and conducts scientifically credible preservation, mitigation, stabilization, and restoration projects. Assists in the preparation of the cultural resource program budget. Develops work plans and schedules, scopes of work, cost estimates, and proposals and/or grants. Develops and implements long range plans for the inventory, evaluation, documentation, preservation, research, and interpretation of the cultural resources. Designs, develops tests, and implements scientific monitoring protocols. Collects, analyzes, and synthesizes scientific information from research.
