Deputy Chief Financial Officer

The Deputy Chief Financial Officer, serves as the primary advisor and counselor to the Office of Health, Chief Financial Officer as well as other key officials within the Department of Veterans Affairs on matters pertaining to the oversight of activities associated with resource management programs, practices, applicable laws, and regulations.

The position is located in the Office of Management and reports to the Office of Health, Chief Financial Officer. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develops, monitors, and maintains strategic and tactical plans. Provides leadership and advisory service with respect to general management of the Office of Health. Oversees personnel, education, training, and administrative issues within the Office of Health. Oversees financial operations for Veterans Health Administration across multiple Veterans Integrated Service Networks, Program Offices, and field offices. Interacts with all Office of Health stakeholders and represents the Office of Health CFO with OMB, veteran service organizations, Congress and private industry. Manages high-priority, crosscutting activities to address complex, broad-based financial initiatives.
