Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Mammography)

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network East. It is located at the Martin Army Community Hospital located on Fort Benning, Georgia. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Perform mammography for periodic, baseline, and symptomatic examinations for out-patients. Receive patients, explain methods of exams, position patient and make adjustments necessary for the required examination. Performing and documenting daily processor quality control (QC) steps prior to clinical images being processed. Perform all required mammography QC tests according to ACR guidelines. Assist in the performance of breast biopsies. Perform daily and monthly cleaning of processors and constantly ensure adequate maintenance of chemicals. Counsel patients after the procedure, watch for immediate complications and discharge patient with written and oral instructions. Be able to perform technical duties with the Mammography Reporting System, Electronic Health System, and PACS. As well as assisting with administrative, mandatory training, and front desk duties as needed.
