Job description

You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the Nuclear Quality Division of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

You will perform in-depth radiological controls assessments, audits, and surveillances of Shipyard departments to ensure that they are maintaining standards and conforming to NAVSEA requirements. You will develop and continuously refining functional in-depth audit plans requiring coordination with different Shipyard departments. You will conduct analysis of radiological deficiency reports, team learning sessions, incident reports, and other periodic reports for the purpose of identifying trends and underlying causes to problems. You will perform reviews of Radiological Controls procedures, Nuclear Power Manuals and Engineering Technical instructions. You will identify conflicting instructions or inadequate instructions, development of recommendations to correct deficiencies and preparation of reports.
