Job description

This position serves as the PMA-201 Precision Strike Weapons Advanced Systems Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE). You will be responsible for supporting PMA-201 strategic planning, advanced technology development, execution of existing capabilities, support for long range fires and the systems engineering efforts to start new programs. You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIV, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

You will recommend revised operational requirements or design concepts as required. You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long range programs. You will perform or direct technical analyses required during the development phases. You will provide direction to cognizant personnel in the planning and development of the Test and Evaluation Master Plan with regard to engineering and technical requirements and procedures. You will assesse progress of system development test and evaluation activities, inventory, production, and support; to ensure adequate resources for project execution. You will ensure all technical and engineering requirements of the program are met including quality assurance reliability, maintainability, system compatibility, safety engineering, etc. You will maintain continuous contact with research and development personnel in order to be informed on all new engineering and scientific developments which might be applied in the design of the assigned weapon system project.
