HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. You will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy mobile equipment. You will be responsible for repairing/overhauling at least one type of major system, i.e., diesel, multi-fuel, and gasoline engines, automatic/non-automatic transmissions, multi-gear assemblies, and a variety of positioning systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, tracing, and locating defects and causes of mechanical problems to determine type and extent of necessary repairs. You will be responsible for complying with appropriate repair specifications and procedures. You will be responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance and services on various complex electrical devices, equipment, and components. You will be responsible for guiding and training lower graded employees. You will be responsible for sketching, removing, identifying, manufacturing, installing, and repairing sheet metal components of motor transport equipment and a variety of heavy mobile equipment vehicles.
