HYDROLOGIST

You will serve as a HYDROLOGIST . This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Mid Pacific Region, Water Operations Division, KLAMATH FALLS,OREGON You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 2-3 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. GS-12 Salary: $89,508 (step1) to $116,362 (step 10). First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Lead complex hydrologic investigations from planning through analysis, modeling, and reporting. Conduct advanced hydrologic and water resource analyses to support management and regulatory decisions. Serve as the area office hydrology subject matter expert on water policy, regulations, and water rights. Develop project plans, technical reports, and recommendations while coordinating with internal and external partners Oversee data collection, modeling, and stakeholder collaboration to inform water resource management. Participate in meetings and other outreach efforts with stakeholders on major efforts such as ESA consultation, Project supply, flood control, fish or bird disease outbreaks, and operational modifications.
