Job description

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/OCEANOGRAPHER in the OCEAN INSTRUMENTATION BRANCH, DATA COLLECTION DIVISION, OCEANOGRAPHIC DEPARTMENT of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS

You will assist in the development, maintenance, and preparation of multiple physical oceanographic instrumentation data acquisition systems. You will develop procedures for the deployment of instrumentation and collection of physical oceanographic data. You will conceptualize, develop, implement and document new or changes to existing shipboard system physical oceanographic data collection instrumentation. You will participate in at-sea oceanographic operations. You will ensure that all physical oceanographic data are collected properly and that all appropriate quality control procedures are observed and properly applied.
