This position is located in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), Regional Contracting Office, Acquisitions Staff. If selected for this position you will be responsible for acquisition planning, contract negotiation, and the preparation and administration of contract documents for both pre-award and post-award activities supporting a wide range of goods and services used in daily operations. Typical work assignments include: Performing team leader duties, such as monitoring the status and progress of work and making day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. Conducting on-the-job training for new employees in accordance with established procedures. Assisting in the development of contracting and procurement policy and providing guidance to District offices. Reviewing requests for the procurement of complex equipment, services, and/or minor construction. Preparing solicitation documents. Negotiating with prospective contractors. Awarding contracts within delegated Contracting Officer authority or recommending award decisions for actions outside delegated authority. Assisting contract administration offices with contract administration activities, including termination actions, through final delivery, payment, and closeout. Negotiating contract modifications.
