MANAGEMENT ANALYST

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the MECHANICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

You will perform as an analyst responsible for evaluating workload projections, determining staffing requirements, forecasting long-range resource needs, and developing strategies to address fluctuations in labor demand and availability. You will interpret administrative policies, assess the resource implications of operational decisions, and develop alternative courses of action when resource shortages, skill gaps, or staffing conflicts arise. You will work under broad administrative direction and is relied upon for authoritative analytical assessments, independent planning, and the ability to foresee, evaluate, and resolve complex resource related issues. You will serve as the primary administrative and analytical specialist responsible for ensuring the department’s personnel, skill mix, qualifications, and equipment assets are properly aligned to meet all ongoing and forecasted work requirements.
