Job description
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Miami Field Office, Consolidated Mission Support. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO). In this position, you would provide guidance and technical advice in a variety of mission support functional areas for a Field Office or Port of Entry. This position starts at a salary of $65,735.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $85,460.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $103,399.00 (GS-11 Step 10). Duties include: Responsible for the agency's property management program to include acquisition, receiving, transferring, excessing, reutilization, repairing, and retiring of various types of property. Conducts inventories and records management in accordance with local and higher headquarters directives and prepares various property reports. Researches suppliers and works with requesters to procure goods/services, then prepares required document and submit for approval. Executes purchase, conducts reconciliation, and maintains documentation as directed by the Purchase Card Manual. Extensive, practical knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principals, and practices of CBP programs, Division specific programs to include fleet, property, and facilities management to accurately administer the mission support duties. Knowledge of the Agency's directives and other guidelines pertaining to fleet, property, and facilities management, and facilities.
