Mission Support Specialist

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations at Detroit Field Office in Detroit MI. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

As a Mission Support Specialist with Office of Field Operations (OFO). You will provide guidance and technical advice in a variety of mission support functional areas for a Field Office or Port of Entry. This position starts at a salary of $68,081.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $88,510.00 (GS-09, Step 10) Major duties for this position include: Performing management advisory services for specific requests related to immediate problems of limited scope. Verifying and assessing relevant facts from several sources, examines documentation. Resolving a moderate range of problems or situations requiring the use of established analytical techniques to isolate and evaluate appropriate precedents.
