Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Rio Grande Valley Sector, Law Enforcement Operations Division located in Rio Grande City, TX. This support directly enables the U.S. Border Patrol to sustain its personnel, assets, and infrastructure so frontline law enforcement operations can effectively carry out the agency's mission. This position starts at a salary of $50,460.00 (GS-7, Step 1) to $80,243.00 (GS-9, Step 10). As a Mission Support Specialist (Generalist), you will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative, workforce, fleet, property, and facilities support services to meet operational needs of the sector. Typical duties of this assignment include: Assisting with conducting inventories and maintaining accurate property records for agency assets. Processing and updating documentation related to personal property, including lost, stolen, destroyed, or missing items. Organizing and maintaining supply rooms and storage areas to support effective property and supply management. Preparing, processing, and routing administrative reports and forms, including those required for property disposal and equipment repair. Coordinating and tracking equipment repairs, service requests, and related documentation in accordance with agency guidelines.
