Job description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operation, Mission Support Division in Boston MA. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

In this position you will plan and carry out a wide variety of mission support duties for the Field Office relative to logistics, procurement, fleet management, and associated functions. This position starts at a salary of $84,579.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $131,790.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $131,790.00 (GS-12 Step 10). As Mission Support Specialist Logistics your duties may include: Conducting inventories and records management in accordance with local and higher headquarters directives and preparing various property reports. Reviewing bills on a monthly basis to prevent overcharging and misuse, and ensuring appropriate forms are completed for Personnel Equipment. Researching suppliers and working with requesters to procure goods/services, then preparing required document and submitting for approval. Performing basic supplies research and performing basic tasks associated with creating requisitions and forwarding for approval. Identifying inventory deficiencies and restocking supplies as needed. Coordinating facilitates repairs and ensuring facility repairs requests are recorded into the facilities management system.
