Job description
This position is located with Operational Readiness (TORR), Real Time Operations (TOR), Transmission System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). A successful candidate in the Operational Readiness Manager position will be responsible for planning, managing, and developing programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the Real-Time Operations organization.
As an Operational Readiness Manager, you will: Delegate authority to subordinate supervisors and holds them responsible for the performance of their subordinate organizational elements. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Oversee the development of performance standards by subordinate supervisors and develops performance standards for other subordinates. Manage and provide technical oversight for issues related to the implementation and ongoing operation of real-time systems and processes. Ensure effective coordination and communication of outage information with internal and external stakeholders, including neighboring utilities and field personnel. Ensure effective coordination across Real Time Operations Functions for new and changing business, regulatory, and market requirements.
