Physician Assistant

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Perform applicant physical examinations and assists with applicant medical processing at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Ensure the confidentiality of applicants is respected and that professionalism is maintained at all times in the medical department. Conduct complete face-to-face medical histories on applicants who have completed the prescreen process and have been authorized to process. Conduct medical procedures used to evaluate and determine military suitability. Communicate changes to the medical staff for input into the Command's applicant database. Prepare electronic and non-electronic documentation used to assess the applicant’s mental and physical fitness for service in the military. Perform physical inspections of previously qualified applicants to document their status for meeting standards at the time of actual enlistment on active duty and at any other time as required. Conduct post-processing inspections according to the medical fitness standards. Perform a variety of professional direct health care duties within the field of general medicine.
