About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Bangor, Occupational Medicine Department, in Bangor, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Evaluate individuals with disabilities to determine if they can perform the essential job functions and make recommendation for reasonable accommodations. Conduct a comprehensive occupational medical surveillance examinations based on the real and potential health hazards encountered in the workplace. Provide evaluation and treatment for work related injuries or refer injured person to the appropriate medical treatment facility or health care provider as needed. Maintain liaison with health care providers to ensure proper placement of individuals in positions compatible with their physical capabilities. Participate in conducting classes, attend safety/environment of care meetings, and provide occupational health guidance within organizations and activities. Assist Physician or Department Head with writing, implementing, and updating standing operating procedures and medical protocols for elements within Occupational Health Program. Implement and administer regulations governing the safeguarding of protected health information.
