Job description
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. You will evaluate patients for fitness for duty and for meeting the Medical Retention Determination Point (MRDP) by conducting a complex and comprehensive review for all cases considered for referral into the Disability Evaluation System (DES) You will serve as gatekeeper for all readiness activities, therefore must conduct extensive research in complex cases by consultation with other professionals. You will serve as the Medical Evaluation Board Approving Authority (MEBAA): oversees all medical readiness processes related to MEB activities and represents Medical Evaluation Board (MEB)-2 for convening a Medical Evaluation Board. You will conduct training and serve as a board-certified medical expert on the MEB process to residents, interns, and other medical students/staff, existing and new providers on MEB related matters. You will serve as a nationally recognized expert, consultant, and/ or advisor on boards and committees, in conferences, and other activities.
