Job description
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Cargo and Conveyance Security Directorate, Trade Operations Division, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Typical Duties Include: Developing program plans, identifying problems and implementing solutions. Identifying and recommending process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in service delivery, reduced operational unit costs, increased quality, and reduced process cycle duration Providing technical advice on strategic issues, collaborating with other program offices across CBP and other components within DHS to improve end-to-end processes, utilizing various analytical methodologies (including, but not limited to, a wide range of statistical methods and tools, mathematical techniques, and process mapping) Assisting with the policy decision-making process for all trade facilitation and enforcement program issues, participating in work groups, and assisting to develop national standard operating procedures impacting the Agency's strategies for national processing and the work assignments for Field Offices Determining goals and objectives that need additional emphasis; developing measures that evaluate performance; making recommendations for program improvement; and managing all resources as corporate assets GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area.
