The purpose of this position is to serve as a Program Manager over a programmatic/geographic area and/or a program segment. You will provide advice and consultation to programs that involve and support the mission of CBP, receiving, reviewing, analyzing, or disseminating sensitive national security data on a regular and recurring basis. This position starts at a salary of $111,896.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $145,468.00 (GS-12, Step 10) GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Typical work assignments include: Serving as a Program Manager over a programmatic/geographic area and/or a program segment. Providing administrative program direction to various directors and special staff for a variety of diverse programs and/or services of a subordinate organization/s, which may include: financial and personnel areas. Presenting to the Program Office recommendations for new organizational structures and management methods. Participating in and, where appropriate, leading various planning, financial, and operational committees and boards. Determining goals and objectives that need additional emphasis; developing measures that evaluate performance; makes recommendations for program improvement.
