Job description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Immediate Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner (EAC), located in Washington DC.

In this position you will optimize the EAC's/DEAC's time to achieve organizational goals, manage a fast-paced workflow across multiple projects, ensure clear communication of key messages, track and prepare materials for meetings and initiatives, coordinate with internal and external staff, and independently oversee projects while handling confidential matters with discretion. This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Major duties include: Assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of the flow of information, strategies, materials, and programs that support and promote organizational change and agency goals. Attending meetings, conferences, and briefings with the EAC and serves as scribe in meetings. Works closely with the Chief of Staff, the EAC's Special Assistant the EAC's senior advisors, from other offices to coordinate events and information. Providing advice on complex program issues on audit processes from knowledge and experience in conducting, monitoring, or overseeing audits, according to generally accepted government auditing standards. Analyzing organizational specific policy issues to identify and to anticipate needs and potential reaction from employees.
