WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Program Specialist, you will: Provides personnel management liaison services by coordinating personnel actions, monitoring recruitment and staffing activities, tracking hiring actions, reviewing personnel documentation for accuracy, and advising managers on human resources policies, procedures, and automated HR systems. Supports position management and workforce planning by assisting managers with position descriptions, classification requests, organizational structure reviews, workforce forecasting, succession planning, and position management activities to meet organizational staffing requirements. Administers performance management activities by monitoring performance appraisal cycles, coordinating awards and recognition programs, assisting with employee relations and labor relations documentation, supporting ethics and workforce wellness initiatives, and serving as a liaison with Human Resources. Conducts administrative and program analyses by researching issues, gathering and evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, identifying trends, developing recommendations, and preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence to support management decision-making.
