Job description
This position is located in Robeson Street Clinic, Fayetteville NC.
Dialysis RN - Specialty Responsibilities The Dialysis RN maintains ongoing responsibility and competency in the following areas: - Demonstrates knowledge of dialysis-related laboratory values and pharmacologic therapies. - Applies advanced principles of infection prevention and control, including mitigation of bloodborne pathogen transmission. - Maintains knowledge of national guidelines and facility protocols related to dialysis patient immunizations (e.g., influenza, pneumococcal, hepatitis B). - Performs surveillance and assessment of vascular access (e.g., catheter, fistula, graft) to identify early signs of dysfunction or infection, including use of specialized monitoring equipment (e.g., Transonic) as trained and per protocol. - Maintains competency in dialysis-related clinical skills, including anticoagulation management (e.g., heparinization), specimen handling, oxygen administration, saline administration, and operation of dialysis equipment.
