Job description
This position is located in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS), Office of Research and Policy (ORP) in Washington, D.C. ORP is responsible for critically examining and developing written syntheses of legislative, employment, and workforce development issues.
For the GS-13 Research Analyst: - Independently carry out analysis of policy and program issues which may include work activities such as: preparing reports, presentations, memoranda, data analyses, data visualizations, or other products. - Apply statistical and analytical techniques to support research, program evaluation, and evidence based decision-making. - Evaluate and implement analytical technologies, data management practices, artificial intelligence applications, and data science tools to improve organizational effectiveness and mission outcomes. - Analyze policy and program issues; develop recommendations and options designed to resolve conflicting concerns or issues and support organizational priorities. - Prepare or develop replies, reports, and analyses regarding policy and guidance on veterans, service members, and military spouse employment issues.
