Job description

You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER in the SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAM (N35) of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

You will use Safety and Occupational Health principles, practice and procedures to develop and recommend the implementation and management of safety and health programs. You will develop project plans for meeting long-range resource needs based on workload forecasts and available manpower. You will identify safety deficiencies and offer solutions for industrial hygiene, environmental, safety engineering, or fire protection problems. You will lead safety committees or councils in an effort to communicate safety information and train representatives on established safety policies and regulations to reduce problems. You will analyze mishap prevention programs to identify deficiencies or recommend improvement to work processes.
