This position combines transportation, equipment setup, field service, and technical support responsibilities. The successful candidate will safely operate DOT-regulated vehicles while delivering, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting pumping, bypass, and water infrastructure equipment at customer sites.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems in the field, operating equipment, interacting with customers, and supporting critical water infrastructure projects.Why Join Xylem?✅ Competitive Pay: $28.00 - $34.00/hour✅ Overtime Opportunities Available✅ Comprehensive Benefits Package✅ Career Growth and Development Opportunities✅ Industry-Leading Safety Culture✅ Paid Volunteer Opportunities Through Xylem Watermark✅ Opportunity to Work with Industry-Leading Water and Pumping Solutions✅ Meaningful Work Supporting Water Infrastructure Across North AmericaThe Role: What You'll DoTransport Equipment SafelySafely operate DOT-regulated vehicles and transport equipment to customer locations.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.Ensure proper load securement and weight distribution.Comply with FMCSA, DOT, and company safety requirements.Maintain all required driver documentation and certifications.Safely navigate local and regional routes while representing Xylem professionally.Equipment Setup & Field Service SupportDeliver, install, commission, and remove pumps, bypass systems, piping, hoses, and related equipment at customer sites.Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and operational testing.Configure pumping systems based on customer requirements.Support temporary bypass and dewatering projects.Ensure equipment is properly tested, functioning correctly, and ready for operation before leaving the site.Respond to emergency service calls when required.Operate EquipmentSafely operate equipment including: Telehandlers Forklifts Material-handling equipment Jobsite support equipmentAssist with loading, unloading, installation, and movement of equipment on customer sites.Support piping installations and bypass system deployments.What Makes You Stand OutRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Clean driving record.Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.Ability to obtain required customer clearances, including TWIC, DISA, and other site-specific requirements.2-5 years of technical work experience.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Customer service experience.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience using Microsoft Office and smart devices.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it effectively.Preferred QualificationsIndustrial or commercial process water experience.Experience with pumps, bypass systems, and water infrastructure equipment.Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.Pipe fusion experience is highly desirable.Experience operating telehandlers, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.Industry-specific licenses or certifications.Previous field service experience.Knowledge of weight requirements and proper load distribution.CDL Class A or Class B is a strong asset, but not required.Travel RequirementsTravel requirements vary by location and business unit.Approximately 80% home daily travel depending on territory and operational needs.Overnight travel may be required based on customer projects and business needs.Ability to safely drive challenging routes and transport specialized equipment.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThis position combines driving, field service work, equipment setup, installation, and technical support activities.
