Job description
Joining the Secret Service, Office of Protective Operations, Dignitary Protective Division, will allow you to perform various property management duties while implementing and monitoring the Division's inventory and supply operations. The selectee will serve as a Senior Inventory Management Specialist in the Office of Protective Operations, Dignitary Protective Division. Typical work assignments include: Assists in establishing and maintaining sufficient internal controls to ensure resources are safeguarded against waste, loss, and unauthorized use. Ensure records are tracked, accurate, and retained as required. Coordinates with internal and external auditors during audits and inspections to ensure the accuracy and completeness of inventory records. Manages and coordinates the accountability of sensitive technical equipment and materials throughout their lifecycle, including initial requisition, approval, ordering, receiving, tracking, and shipment to the appropriate location. Provides training and guidance to junior inventory management staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to established inventory control policies and procedures. Mentors and supports staff in resolving complex inventory issues, answering technical questions, and developing their skills in inventory management practices. Plans, organizes, and executes complex property management assignments, projects, and rollouts with minimal direction and supervision. Tracks trends, policies, procedures, and best practices for the management of sensitive technical security equipment and materials. Prepares standard operating procedures related to the administration of division inventory and property.
