Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Threat Management Branch Chief)

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS). The primary purpose of this position is to manage, direct and supervise the criminal investigative and intelligence programs and other law enforcement activities involving the investigation, apprehension, and detention of individuals suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of the United States. As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Threat Management Branch Chief), GS-1811-14, your typical work assignments may include: Monitor the progress of all investigations through frequent, recurring discussions with assigned criminal investigators and staff, including reviewing plans for key aspects of criminal investigations. Manage and oversee the review and analysis of information gathered at the regional level for coordination with the Threat Management Division at FPS headquarters. Maintain liaison with federal and local law enforcement agencies for coordination and cooperation in conducting joint criminal investigations and for assembling and presenting evidence in criminal matters relating to felonies and other major criminal investigations. Exercise the full range of supervisory authorities and responsibilities in directing the work of subordinate staff.
