Job description

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Equipment Engineering Division DCF (Washington, DC). As a Supervisory General Engineer, you will manage a staff of engineers supporting the 2 BEP manufacturing facilities. You will have experience in product or process development in a factory environment, manage interdisciplinary project teams, and possess an excellent analytical and systematic problem-solving skillset. You must be able to develop technical resources.

As a Supervisory General Engineer, you will: Supervise personnel, track and report to senior management the status of acquisition and implementation of new equipment, processes, and systems. Provide technical leadership and manage/mentor engineers in problem definition and solution using analytical, quantitative, and systematic problem-solving skills. This includes design of experiments and test plans to verify the problem solution. Perform a full range of supervisory and managerial duties typical of first level supervisors in BEP. Oversee a staff of General, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineers.
