Job description

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A). The primary purpose of this position is to oversees and manages intelligence support to fusion centers, federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and private sector partners, and DHS Components, by providing national-level intelligence support and sharing, as well as guiding the management and implementation of the intelligence cycle. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

As a Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist, GS-0132-15, your typical work assignments may include: Coordinates relationships and overall management and administration of the two-way flow of timely, accurate, actionable, homeland security intelligence and information between SLTT governments, private sector, DHS Components, and the National IC and Law Enforcement Communities. Prepares and presents briefings. Prepares and analyzes reports, responses to queries, justifications, and background papers on the technical aspects of areas of expertise and assignment. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short-term and/or long-term priorities, and prepares overall plans/schedules for accomplishment of objectives. Oversee a full range of supervisory, personnel management, and human resources management functions within the region to ensure efficient and effective application of personnel to region missions, support functions and organizational programs. Develops, synchronizes, and implements field and region strategic planning and provides timely execution of intelligence programs to achieve the overall goals, objectives and priorities of DHS, I&A, and the field.
