Job description

You will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary (Chief of Resources) with the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Hot Springs National Park, Division of Natural Resources. This position is the advisor and management consultant to the Superintendent and park management team on matters involving natural and cultural resources.

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Coordinates Park resources management programs with those on adjacent lands for the purpose of achieving broad protection strategies and preventing human impacts. Provides leadership and direct/indirect supervision for Resource Management staff. Participates in the development and implementation of park planning and management documents significantly affecting the long-term direction of Hot Springs National Park. Monitors and evaluates resource management activities and ensures that the most current scientific information and technology are employed in addressing the complex resource management challenges of the park. Active member of the Park Management Team (PMT), serving as the principle advisor to the Superintendent and staff on all natural and cultural resource programs.
