Job description
The Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist - Assistant Chief Supply Chain Officer (ACSCO), serves as the alternate to the Facility Chief Supply Chain Officer (FCSCO) and is assigned continuing responsibility for managing a major part of the Logistics Service in the supply chain management (SCM) program with the direction and opinion of this role having the same authority given to the Service Chief.
Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Oversees, guides, manages and integrates supply chain operations across the organization; Plans and coordinates fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations; Establishes, monitors and manages the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain; Conducts logistics audits, compliance reviews and program effectiveness/efficiency reviews; Manages all activities involved in the supply chain management to include sourcing, procurement and logistics management activities; Responsible for linking major business functions and processes within the organization into a cohesive and high performing business model; Forecast planning and budget execution for supplies, subsistence, durable medical equipment, medical gases, expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment, inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution; Leads and/or participates in regular meetings, ensuring logistics needs and requirements are being met; Performs other related duties as assigned.
