Job description

About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Quantico Resource Management Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).

Serve as the clinic’s nursing subject matter expert and provides direct patient care. Plan, directs, and evaluates all ambulatory nursing activities within the clinic. Identify strategies to enhance patient access, improve population health metrics, and reduce administrative burden. Lead evidence based practice, quality improvement, utilization management, and Joint Commission preparedness. Provide education and clinical guidance to nursing staff, students, residents, physicians, and administrators. Advise senior leaders on nursing matters, regulations, procedures, and organizational initiatives. Collaborate to enhance unit performance, preventive health measures, data collection, and access to care. Assist with developing, revising, and implementing clinic policies, procedures, and performance improvement projects. Provide recommendations on organizational, structural, and content changes across the clinic. Prepare, updates, and interprets policies for nursing, medical, and support staff. Develop standardized nursing policies ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, ANA, OSHA, and state regulations. Conduct site surveys to evaluate adherence to regulatory criteria. Ensure corrective actions are implemented when deficiencies are identified. Oversee day to day management of assigned nursing personnel and clinic operations. Plans work, sets priorities, prepares schedules, and assigns tasks based on complexity and staff capability. Evaluate staff performance, productivity, and provides technical/administrative guidance. One year probationary period may be required
