Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Integrated Services Division, Real Property Program Management Office located in the following locations: Euless, TX Aliso Viejo, CA Washington, DC Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.

This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Integrated Services Division Real Property Program Management Office, and serves as the Branch Chief of the Leasing Branch. The Leasing Branch provides proactive management of the OFAM Real Property Portfolio. This consists of all real estate and leasing products and services, including acquisition of permanent and temporary interests in real property, Occupancy Agreement oversight and execution, lease administration and dispute resolution, special use permits, free space agreements, inventory control, disposal oversight, and fiscal reporting of land acquisition expenditures as required. This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10). Typical duties include: Ensuring real property project priorities and budgets are aligned across the enterprise and the projects being developed and executed are properly programmed. Serving as a subject matter expert, judgment is accepted as authoritative in the interpretation and application of laws, policies and procedures affecting real property federally owned/leased facility activities. Serving as an authority over realty specialists while also overseeing, integrating, and resource leveling their work. Managing cross-functional, strategic assessments needed for the effective and efficient management of the CBP Real Property portfolio. Guiding employees in determining the specific amount and type of facility space required; and project planning and management functions including the development of project management strategies; schedules; tracking systems; and budget estimates for approved and proposed projects.
