Job description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, New York, NY.

As a Visual Information Specialist, you will advise port managers and field staff on communications policies, design and oversee the production of CBP informational materials using state-of-the-art visual technologies, and conduct research to source imagery that supports agency initiatives. This position starts at a salary of $50.54 (GS-12, Step 1) to $65.71 (GS-GS12, Step 10) GS Salary: Visit this link to view the locality pay tables by geographic area. Duties: Advising and consulting with the port managers, and field office staff on developing and implementing integrated communications/media policies and programs Conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the production of CBP informational materials for the Web and print using DHS/CBP creative guidelines Developing new methods of conveying messages regarding CBP initiatives, policies, and procedures by employing state-of-the-art visual information technologies Performing research to locate images suitable for inclusion in various visual products
